A conference to encourage, resource and challenge Church Leaders Sponsored by the Church Leaders' Forum of Love Never Fails Love Never Fails, of which the ICEJ UK is a member, is an alliance of over twenty UK based, Israel related Christian ministries. The 'God's Heart for Israel' conference has sprung from our heart to encourage and resource British church leaders who have a love for Israel and the Jewish people but are isolated or under-resourced and unsure of how to express their beliefs in church life. All the planning has been carried out by a group of pastors and ministers, and we hope that this first step will lead to the formation of a national forum of leaders. Venues and Cost Choice of Two Venues: Bawtry Hall, Doncaster, S. Yorks : Tues 29 April - Thurs 1 May 2008 Speakers: David Pawson, Malcolm Hedding or High Leigh, Hoddesdon, Herts : Tues 13 - Thurs 15 May 2008 Speakers: Malcolm Hedding, Dr. Paul Wilkinson, Alex JacobThe conferences will run from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. The cost is £112 per delegate, with a deposit of £30 per person required. We expect day visitors to also be acceptable. Bookings open to church leaders and their spouses. Conference speakers: Malcolm Hedding (both venues) - was a Pentecostal pastor in South Africa for 25 years before becoming the Executive Director of the ICEJ in 2000. He is recognised as one of the foremost Zionist theologians in Christianity with a profound understanding of Israel's role in Eschatology. David Pawson (Bawtry Hall only) - a Bible Teacher who has recently turned his research to the whole area of 'Christian Zionism'. He will also address the Biblical response to Replacement Theology, and Liberation Theology as it has been applied to the Israeli-Arab conflict. Dr. Paul Wilkinson (High Leigh only) - is Assistant Pastor at Hazel Grove Full Gospel Church in Stockport. He has an impressive academic record and has studied at the International School of Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem He recently published "For Zion's Sake - Christian Zionism and the Role of John Nelson Darby", which goes a long way towards answering some of the critics of 'Christian Zionism'. Paul will speak on the history of Christian Zionism in Britain and exposing the errors of the 'Sabeel version' of liberation theology that is adversely affecting the Church's view of Israel and the Middle East conflict. Alex Jacob (High Leigh only) - is a director of CMJ (the Church's Ministry to Jewish People), one of the oldest Christian ministries in this field and the first protestant organisation ever to open a church in Jerusalem. Alex is a URC minister and has served in a number of pastorates over 21 years. He will speak on the challenge of applying 'Jewish Roots' teaching in church life. In addition to the above main speakers, there will also be a selection of seminars, displays and bookstall with many resources unavailable through normal Christian bookshops.
